Hi
Years ago I was in a Disneyland Paris club that mostly means I can get a free coffee and pastry if I go to Disneyland. It’s in a secret room near the gate so it’s really good fun when we go but that’s not very often. Occasionally they have events like Christmas or Halloween where you can get a free ticket but there is never any notice so it’s hard to organise the logistics. So when I heard about the new World of Frozen, I was pretty sure there would be an event and I was going to do everything I could to make sure I could go. I even considered going alone if that’s what it came to.
Of course it didn’t come to that – my grown up kids were more than happy to come along for the ride so we did a proper flying visit last week. We were in France for 36 hours and had the best time! We went on the ride five times and I loved it. Because we only had a ticket to the new park, it was the most chilled out Disney visit I’ve ever had but was still just as magical. The new land is very Scandi/Nordic themed so it felt like a research trip at the same time! There was an amazing drone show at the end but the picture below of the Toy Story Alien was what we could see of the show in the main park. We had the Avengers and Hercules in our show.
In other news, my first-cousin-once-removed (thank you Catrin for defining when I was taking five minutes to explain!) visited from Australia with her husband. They spent two days with us and even though we haven’t seen each other for 28 years, it was like we’d seen each other last week. We only keep in touch on social media so there was a lot to catch up on and it was fun showing them some of the local tourist places like the Morgan car factory. They packed so much in and even went for a walk to the top of the Worcestershire Beacon before breakfast. A trip to Australia is definitely on the cards now.

Norway news and ARC readers
I’m over the halfway mark with writing the new book! It has exactly the same feel as my Welcome to Norway novella so if you liked that, you’re going to love the first full length novel in this new series! If you haven’t read the novella yet, you can download it for free below.
The first book in the series will be out at the end of May, and for the very first time I will be looking for ARC readers! If you’d like to be considered, please reply to this email and we will send you the info later in April.

An Indie Author Recommendation
Throughout 2026 I’m collaborating with a group of Indie Romance authors and each month I’ll share one of their books! This month’s book is available on Amazon and is free to read with Kindle Unlimited.
I LOVE this book! It was the first I read of Daisy’s, and I fell in love with Harry and his orange camper van.

She wanted gondolas and gelato — she got Cornwall, chaos, and a camper van full of sparks!
Food photographer
Emily Roberts
is officially having the worst week of her life. Not only has her boyfriend cheated on her, he’s also stolen her dream assignment in romantic, sun-drenched
Venice.
Instead of gondolas and gelato
,
Emily is shipped off to the wild
Cornish coast
for a chaotic culinary road trip with legendary kitchen tyrant
Lucinda Carlton-Rose,
and things go from mildly annoying to catastrophic on day one.
Cue
Harry Ashby
— a charming, annoyingly handsome surfing instructor with a vintage orange camper van and a heroic streak he absolutely denies having. He’s no traditional knight in shining armour… but he
is
very good at rescuing stranded photographers.
As Emily and Harry zig-zag from fishing villages to cliff-top cafés, sampling Cornwall’s finest food and worst weather, sparks begin to fly — between deadlines, disasters, and more pasties than anyone should eat in one summer.
Can a sun-soaked surfer help a heartbroken photographer rewrite her fairy tale? Or is this culinary road trip destined to stall before it gets started?
Join Emily and Harry on a sun-kissed, laugh-out-loud adventure around the coast of Cornwall.

Reading and watching
I’ve got a Kindle Unlimited subscription at the moment so I’m making the most of it by catching up on a few series I’ve started but not finished.
Even though it’s waaaaay past Christmas, I had a hankering to read one of Carrie Elks’ Winterville books. I read book 4, Memories of Mistletoe and loved it! It wasn’t super-Christmassy, just a great snowy, winter romance with a solid grumpy-sunshine trope. I might read the next in the series, but now I’m reading Elsie Silver’s Chestnut Springs series. I’d already read the first two maybe a year or two ago, so I’ve just finished the third, Powerless, and have gone straight into Reckless. I love this series although some of the spice is a bit strong for my taste but you can skip a few pages and get back to the story. I’m looking forward to finding some new series to get started on after this.
My daughter is on holiday so I’ve had to pause on watching my favourite thing at the moment, Love Story, on Netflix, until she’s back. it’s based on the true story of JFK Jr and Carolyn Bessette. I have a vague idea of what happened in real life but I’m waiting until we finish it to google the actual story. It is wonderful for the 90s vibes and the soundtrack is brilliant on that front. And it’s a bit like the Crown in that it’s interesting social history.
In the meantime, I’m watching the new series of Drive to Survive on Netflix which is perfect timing for the start of the F1 season to maximise my obsession. I’m sure they’ve planned that…
Until next time, happy reading!
